The Amherstburg Admirals’ six game winning streak came to an end Monday night in Wheatley.
The Admirals had trouble getting the offence going after a tough game against Belle River the night before and fell to the Wheatley Sharks 5-0. Chris Wallace made 36 saves in the loss, while Conner MacKinnon made 24 for the Sharks for his second shutout of the season.
Mike Reid, Austin Thompson, Scott Florence and Brett Babkirk each had two points for Wheatley. The Admirals remain tied for fourth place with the loss with a game at hand on the Sharks.
Amherstburg will be back in action Nov. 9 when they travel to Wallaceburg to face the Lakers for the second time this season. The Admirals won the previous meeting 9-0 at home.
